James Fowler (b. 1997) is a visual artist and curator based in Bulacan. His practice often merges surreal imagery, objects, and minimal abstraction, fusing reality with abstract vision to create a visual language that best conveys his ideas. Rooted in personal conflicts and environmental observation, his works reflect his shifting perceptions of the world around him. His recent paintings explore torn-down stones, structures, vegetation, and nightmarish landscapes, dissecting cycles of construction and deconstruction within the environment. Refusing to be limited by a single medium, Fowler's practice extends across painting, photography, and video, allowing him to realize his ideas with greater fluidity.
